Josh Groban ‘Bridges’: In Concert from Madison Square Garden

HOW/WHEN & WHERE TO WATCH: Check local listings on PBS

Josh Groban returns to his roots in this special, which spans new hits off Bridges; “River” and the Jennifer Nettles duet “99 Years” are standouts. The self-declared “theater geek” is at his best on Les Misérables’ “Bring Him Home” and with Idina Menzel on Once’s “Falling Slowly.” Groban’s music is at once intensely personal and vocally powerful, a dichotomy displayed in the stark contrast between the famed venue’s cavernous scale and intimate close-ups of the singer. If you’re a Groban fan, this concert will raise you up. B+ —Maureen Lee Lenker

HOW/WHEN & WHERE TO WATCH: 9 p.m. on TNT

Creator Sam Sheridan says he’s thrilled viewers have “succumbed to the strangeness of the story and are responding to the suspense” of his visually stunning limited series, which stars Chris Pine and India Eisley. It was inspired by the life of Fauna Hodel, who was given away at birth and discovered as a teen that her biological family was linked to the prime suspect in the infamous 1940s Black Dahlia murder. Binge the first five episodes (TNTdrama.com, TNT app) before the sixth and final chapter which Sheridan promises “goes into the very dark heart of the mystery. Everything gets a lot worse, but there’s also hope.” —Patrick Gomez

HOW/WHEN & WHERE TO WATCH: 9 p.m. on Travel Channel

Three first responders detail — with the help of paranormal experts — different hauntings they experienced at the scenes of calls. It’s about as interesting as it sounds but is dramatically undercut by cheesy narration, low-budget-looking effects, and exhausted tropes. Expect some jump scares — and unintentional laughs.
